The Maverick Community

The Maverick Community's purpose is to enable and support mavericks build and do better business rather than becoming an outlet for maverick behaviour! This Community abides by Code of Conduct which can be found here.

Admission to the club is not automatic therefore entry will be via recommendation from an existing member. It is intended that this will be a, restricted in number, Maverick Community. This will ensure that the community is balanced and as harmonious as a community of mavericks can be! There may be a number of reasons why you may not be accepted into the community - this does not reflect on you as an individual - merely that at the current time you are unable to join.

If you are wilfully independent (a maverick) or a maverick in training, and wish to apply, please contact us by using the contact form. Please explain why you would wish to join the Maverick Community. For example, what makes you a maverick (wilfully independent)?

So why does a maverick need to join a maverick community?

  • Mavericks achieve more when they are surrounded by like minded people
  • Their peers will tell them exactly what they need to know, when they need to know it!
  • Mavericks will help each other grow because their honesty will stimulate growth
  • Mavericks will learn how to harness their talents to influence others more effectively
  • Mavericks want to have fun with people that understand them
  • What type of person is a maverick?

Well I define mavericks as wilfully independent people. That's right wilfully independent! Mavericks are talented, truthful to the point of bluntness, visionary with an uncanny ability to exactly see the hole in the argument that is being presented to them, and how to fix it. Mavericks break rules, not out of spite but because the rules don't work. They are highly goal orientated, charismatic (if they choose to be), and will question anything and everything.

The common question posed by a maverick is 'Why?'

Mavericks do not compromise their standards to fit in, and therefore cannot be managed conventionally. Despite the fact that they often do not utilise their talents effectively, mavericks tend to be the top performers in companies and within business. Common traits of low boredom and impatience means that mavericks often have trouble articulating effectively what they want or what they mean.
